Additional information

For meat and fish products, frozen or chilled, it shall be attested that they have not been treated with any chemical product harmful to human health such as formalin, etc.
The RICA representative checks whether the consignment is still in good conditions and if it is accompanied with all necessary authorisations / permits.
Once verifications are complete and successful, the RICA representative approves the goods release in the Electronic single Window; therefore informing the customs that the consignment clearance can proceed.
In case the consignment or related documents do not comply with import permit specifications, the consignment will be intercepted and taken into quarantine for further testing, or may be re-exported or destroyed on the expenses of the importer.
